I was thinking partly of Shakespeare's line All that glisters is not of gold and the fine buildings in ports like Liverpool gained in the past on the back of the suffering of slaves. Silence can be a double-edged sword. Thanks for your comment, Sue.

It was a School mantra carefully ignored by us rowdy boys! I haven't changed much, Wes. Still the big loud lazy lout! But Silence can be a way of shutting our ears to suffering and slavery still exists.
