Silence Of The Nun S Poem by louis rams

Silence Of The Nun S

The unspoken words of the victims of rape
When it is a Priest and a Nun s virginity he takes.
Silently they weep afraid to speak and the help
Needed she cannot seek.
She got her calling at the beginning of her teens
Her body was developing the boys had seen.
She thought by joining the Nun s covenant
She would get away from the comments and stares
And with JESUS her life she would share.
At fourteen she was raped by a man of the cloth
A young body was what he sought.
She could not scream, and could not holler
For he was a man of the collar.
Who would believe her - what could she say
As she knelt down to pray.
Her body was healing, her mind was broken
The silence of the Nun s of words unspoken.
GOD had given her a will so strong, and helping
Others is where she belonged'
How will these Priests pay for the wrongs that they've done
And doing it while praising GODS only son.
