Silent Companion Poem by Nidhi Agrawal

Silent Companion

As soon as I stepped outside
The moon hugged me tight
Without waiting for the tears
to start falling from my eyes.
It embraced me in its glow
and kissed my bruised soul
Before my lips could speak
of the ache that's buried deep.
Not asking any questions
nor expecting any answers
Just a trusted companion
waiting silently on the horizon.
Not regretting the dark shadows
I cast upon it's silvery sheen
Absorbing my doubts and fears
it leaves me pure and pristine.
Bringing a smile on my face
full of hope for the coming day
It calms my dreams for the night
The guiding light of my life.

A beautiful poem it is. I wish there was someone like the moon in everyone's life.
