Silent Whisper Poem by Spiritwind Wood

I stood on the edge of reality
trapped inside of my mind
lost in all the confusion
of something I couldn't find
with the echoes of a past screaming
tearing away at every emotion
feeling the pain once again
that left me here bleeding
staring into the face of another reflection
that is no longer a part of me
finding myself again dreaming
of a light that use to shine
that once use to be
leaving behind the hands of time
as the days now just pass by
looking into the emptiness
deep inside of my soul
and still seeing nothing
trying to make it through this masquerade
of every broken promises made
wasting away on a memory
of everything once forgotten
feeling love's hate show
I have seen come and go
standing alone in the darkness
hiding behind another shadow
of love from long ago
feeling passions bitter caress
with every sunset that starts to fade
watching it's flames burning the sky
as the tears inside begin to flow
for a love that was meant to die
that we both knew had to end
but still there's a silent whisper
that lingers through the wind
the kiss of one last final goodbye
that remains here forever
