Slip Away - Poem by Spiritwind Wood

Eptiness comes around
you're standing here alone
the fabrication of your life
it only brings you down
you're such a long way from home

A soul lost that can't be found
looking deep inside of you
there's nothing left anymore
you let it all slip away
there's nothing left for you to do

You stood at a rivers edge
as you watch yourself drown
thinking about the past
how you use to have it all
believing you would never fall
the sun always shined your way

But nothing here sometimes never last
your dreams can disappear forever
before you know it all you have is gone
now your sky is gray
nothing is like it was before

Like a blink of a eye
you just watch it all pass by
you lost your kid and wife
no-one is waiting til you get back
it all went by so fast
your years now only filled in black
