Silver Thread Of The Moon Poem by Yousif Ibrahim Abubaker Abdalla

Silver Thread Of The Moon

The moon hangs low, like a shimmering silver thread,
Casting its glow over the path we've walked together,
In the quiet, soft and profound,
Where the stars keep watch, holding secrets all around.
I see the universe mirrored in your eyes,
A vast, radiant expanse, like the night sky filled with stars,
Where every thought and every heartbeat,
Finds a home in your heart, a perfect place to meet.
No distance can close the gap between us,
The gentle light, the grace that's so subtle and unseen,
For wrapped in this tender embrace,
Our story begins, ready to unfold.
So let the clock forget to chime,
Beyond the reach of numbered time,
For here, where soul and shadow intertwine,
I've found my beginning, and my end, all in one line.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM: This poem came to life on Thursday, May 21,2026. I penned this piece to capture that gentle feeling you get when you find someone who makes the world feel a little softer and more meaningful. I wove in images of the moon, stars, and light to show how love can feel both far away and incredibly close all at once. The poem flows softly, much like a late night chat, because I wanted the emotions to come across as calm, sincere, and personal rather than overly dramatic. At its core, this piece is all about connection the kind that transcends time, distance, or even words and the comforting realization of finding a place where your soul truly feels understood.
