Skye-Lit Dome Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Skye-Lit Dome

As simple and pure as a breath of rain she clears my mind with a peaceful undoubting love of innocence for her soul, and mine. Her smile makes me twinge as I walk below the skylight domes of paradise that sleep beneath an endless cosmic starry twilight across the sapphire blue.

In sight and sound and touch and taste I can think of any color and my palate would dance to green and red and purple - as her lips made way to part a smile on mine to sync with her fingers caressing my skin, the warmth of an intamite love of trust and want couldn’t have drapped over us more perfectly.

In sleepless state of reality I’d only want her close to me so we could imagine something great together in any moment, where we’d reveal how found we’d just become while the world around us lay dormant to loss.

Strong use of imagery and keen and bright sense of words clear and easy to understand I can't say there is not one poem of yours that I have read that I don't dislike. I love your work and find myself a little inspired by you.
