Smiling Eyes Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Smiling Eyes

Your salubrious smiles revive my sprightlywalk.
Your feisty looks Shake my feet to rock.
Your beaming eyes give warmth to my restless soul
Your rollicking words touch my poetic cords.
You're my love of life to inspire my muse!
Fortune doesn't favour me to see your face
as you are often in sprint and race.
What you have a thing of beauty rare
to draw me beside you, I'm not aware.
If you go away, refusing me a glance,
distress in mind takes over me a sway
You purged in me the habits of taking drinks,
sneaking in dirty webs and reading tales ofdirt.
Before dejection gives me a drubbing,
Mesmerise me with an enthrallinghugging.
