Smiling To Myself Poem by Norah Tunney

Smiling To Myself

Rating: 5.0

his shaved head bent over like a monk in prayer,
I feel the holiness of the moment
and rest deep
in the midnight of his breath-
smiling to myself.

Simply beautiful, Norah. One of my favourite poems for a long while. Describes that peacefulness of the soul perfectly and with a fine economy of words.
