So Broken And Yet So Alive Poem by Norah Tunney

So Broken And Yet So Alive

Rating: 5.0

Did you ever think
you might die
from too much happiness?

that you're body might shatter
from the sheer fleshiness of being
and the raw lust for life?

late at night did you ever
fall into the arms of God
as you danced
across the kitchen floor?

or wake up with a loving ache
and unspeakable gratitude flowing through your blood?

sometimes I wonder
how I could be so broken
and yet feel so alive?
