Snowing On The Inside - Poem by Justine Olsen

When life is all down hill
Makes you feel so small
So much weighing on your shoulders
Nobody to break the fall

Nobody understands you
As you hit the deepest low
Your eyes glaze over with tears
Inside it starts to snow

As you look around,
There’s no-one, you’re alone
You feel so abandoned
Like someone should have known

But don’t think badly of them
Don’t think you're on your own
Look beneath for there’s your friends
Supporting you like stones

It's snowing on the inside
Can't get warm, can't close the blinds
Snowing on the inside
And all you want to do is run and hide… away
Deal with this another day

And when you look back over
You are so confused
Were you weak for crying so much
Or strong for pulling through?
