Always so
much of you
around
when you are not
around!
Here
an earring
blooming
at the side of the sink
a knocked over bottle of perfume
beautifying the air
a forgotten panties
fragile
as cobweb
adorning the bedroom mirror
reflecting
upon itself
here
a nylon stocking
slinking along a bookshelf
a snake reaching for the Shakespeare
a suspender belt
crowning a Bible
a bra
becoming a mountain range
its twin peaks
reflected in a lake of mahogany
a broken cigarette like a swan
floats by
your footsteps... echoing down the path
then echoing...back up again
breathless the door
opens again with a bang!
“I forgot to give you
a kiss! ”
A kiss
is deposited
upon my naked behind
the only flesh
straying out of bedclothes.
And then
you’ve gone again.
A human storm.
The room
(as always)
so
full of you.
