So I Gave Up

I asked him,
'Have you read the great book? '
He said to me,
'Yes, '
Then he asked me,
'Have you read the great book? '
I answered,
'No, '
After some time,
I tried to find out
The difference between
'Yes' and 'no',
Soon a meaningless line flashed
In my inner eye,
I realised the utter futility of the difference,
So I gave up.
