So Much Unfounded Poem by McDonald Mbejere

So Much Unfounded

I wouldn't understand me
But you still try to
I wouldn't fathom you
But you indulge me
We cherish unrealistic goals
But share none
You were once Helena
And I took you to Paris
Left you there
And met you further away
Babbling about mine and your je ne sais
Its how things roll off your tongue
That I stay enticed

I'm baffled by my vulnerability and your intangibility
You're as extraterrestrial as a single touch
And more sensual than marital sex
There's sex in a lot about you
Its a form of art that only my eyes appreciate

I can't share you with my nicotine Nicolette
Even though you exist in the fold
In the hemisphere that resides with dopamine;
You're enough substance to abuse
I can reuse all the happiness you produce
I wish for more of you as the day falls to night
I empathize with the term falling
Since am familiar with several forms of it just by knowing you.

Freedom is in falling and never landing
Freedom is in gifts that stay unwrapped
Freedom is in the night sky
A perfect balance of death and undying light
We shall be stars
No one will understand our appeal
But still use us to map out their own definitions
We are perfect complexity with intertwined existence.
I will sleep and wake up to your voice
While contemplating murdering you with kisses.
