So, Said The Preacher Poem by Randy McClave

So, Said The Preacher

Rating: 5.0

I looked at my preacher in woe,
Then to him my sins I then confessed
He wasn't angry or even depressed,
With a smile, he just said, "so! "

Knowing what I now do know,
I then told him of my shame and my other sins
Of my guilt and also my wicked wins,
Once again, he just said "so! "

I asked him if he wanted to go,
When in the hospital I was healing from a fire
Drugs was then my only desire
He prayed with me and then said, "so! "

Love and compassion for me he did show,
Towards me he had no argument or grudge
It is God, and not man who should judge,
So, for his judgment he'll say, "so! "
