Socialism Isn't What Injustice Is Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Socialism Isn't What Injustice Is

Materialism.
Capitalism.
Poverty, deprivation.
Bigotry, racism, division.
Regardless how these words,
Can be defined.
To reveal their effectiveness.
Although kept to blind,
Those unconscious of mind.
No word more than socialism,
Is more accepted to demand...
On a daily basis.
For the many who rely on the government.
To then hear it said,
Too much government they can not stand.

Yet...
Few could survive,
Without the government...
Involved in their daily lives.
With only a few protecting their ability,
Kept to keep limited...
Their socialistic exclusive ways.
Limited to pretensions to convince,
The many they have restricted...
To living lives thriving on lies.
Believing they too can obtain prosperity.
If they were in a position of choosing,
Nepotism, greed and deception.
To then claim socialism diminishes,
A quality of life.

That same eroding quality of life,
Built upon materialism, capitalism...
Poverty, deprivation, bigotry, racism.
And division.
Already known factors,
Inflicted by delusion that remains for all,
An 'inclusive' entity.
Easily obtainable and non-threatening!
