Sold On Threats And Fear Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Sold On Threats And Fear

Just too many tears.
Are cried by the innocent.

There's just too many tears.
All around being cried.
Too many crying tears.
From eyes too long victimized.
And..
Applied for no reason,
But to merchandise...
Fear.
Anguish.
To sustain a pain to remain supplied.
Feeling hopeless.
And confused.
Yet never told,
They're being sold on the selling of blues.

There's just too many tears.
Leaving people fearing,
To live life the way that they wish.
There's just too many tears.
Leaving people fearing,
Happiness to have can not be done,
If they are running from anguish.
Threats.
And negativity to regret.
There are people seeking fear.
Everyday to expect to come next.
But as of yet none appears to cause,
That fear to have them crying tears.
That fear to have them crying tears.

Sold on threats.
And fear.
Yet...
People who are crying their tears,
See nothing like that near.

Sold on threats and fear.
Yet people who are crying their tears,
See nothing like that near.
