Solicited Participants Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Solicited Participants

Solicited participants.
Gathered to pledge,
Their allegiance...
To an agitating of violence.

A violence...
Intended to increase,
Civil unrest.
And social disobedience.
Instructed to direct this,
By those elected and picked...
To sit in positions,
Of leadership.
Although...
Credibly incompetent they are.

All of them.
Have one thing in common.
Overwhelmingly caucasian.
And...
Sickened by the rise,
Of a diversified ethnicity.
A diversity,
Independently proven to be...
Not only effectively intelligent.
But also historically known,
To have it shown...
A sustained greatness,
Of a democracy...
Could not or would not,
Have been achieved...
Without those still depicted,
As 'minorities'.
You know...
Inferior and insignificant.

Yet...
Allowing the 'majority'
In numbers only.
To claim ownership,
Of a quality of life...
Mostly received,
By a repetitiously thieving...
From others.
And their resources.

You know...
With pretense.
Deception.
Corruption.
And...
A marketing,
Of legalized lies.
Fictionalizing reality.

Done.
With a refusing,
To face truth as truth is to be.
With a mental inability...
To accept change.
And what change is.
That threatens an image...
Sold to embrace.
Fading away...
On every street in America.
In movies.
And on their home TV's.
In high definition colorized.
No longer to symbolize,
A faking slowly being erased.

And this has created,
Their bigotry.
Racist hatred.
With a delusional way of life.
That has come to be done.
Giving them reason and cause,
To destroy themselves.
