Someday, Maybe Someday Poem by Randy McClave

Someday, Maybe Someday

Someday, maybe someday
Maybe I will get married again,
And someday, maybe someday
And only perhaps, and maybe then.
I know the woman that I want
And I know the woman that I need,
Love and adventure I will always want
And devotion and desire is what I'll heed.
I close my eyes and I see her now
As though we are the best of friends,
So, I think and I wish for her right now
Before memory fades, and ends.
I open my heart and then I feel her
I know the color of her eyes and her hair,
Many times I just dream only about her
But, sadly she's never here, but there.

Someday, maybe someday
She'll be holding onto my hand,
And then someday, maybe someday
She and I will be in a different land.
I know the woman that I crave
And the woman for my own desire,
I wish and I want her also to crave
So, our souls for each other are on fire.
I close my eyes and I again recite
To the many countless words I have written,
Then again my promises I will also recite
By the muses, I have been smitten.
I sit and I sit as I patiently wait
As I think am I a dupe or a pawn,
Maybe she too sits and sits and will also wait,
But, for tomorrow, I or her might be gone.
