Sometimes 02 Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

Sometimes 02

Sometimes, the wind moves through the trees,
like a whisper from someone I once knew.
Sometimes, the sky looks heavier
than the world beneath it,
and I wonder if it, too, feels the
weight of everything.

Sometimes, silence is softer than any melody,
and I rest inside it like a bird folding its wings.
Sometimes, the past walks beside me,
not as a shadow, but as an old friend
who doesn't need to speak.

Sometimes, I forget why I am running,
until I stop and feel the earth hold me still.
Sometimes, that is enough.
