Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I cry
And then life goes on, even though I try
To make time stand still
Just for one more moment to fill
The empty space inside,
A moment to define life's sea tide
But the ship sails on
So, I'll try to sing a new song
Sometimes we rise, and sometimes we fall
And life goes on, even though we call
Out for help - for someone to hear
Or to live a life of live and not of fear
The dark cloud of the unknown -
The future we must own
So we step blindly into tomorrow
And we have to leave behind our sorrow
Sometimes the pain will stay
And then life goes on, even though we try to find a way -
A cure for this disease
To set our minds at ease
We seek, we do not find
Then we leave it all behind
As though it never existed
We forget the times we resisted
To hear we are far from right
We forget we are still here to fight!
The darkness must flee,
The light has to become our decree!
But...
Sometimes we forget to turn on the light
And then life goes on,
Luckily God holds us in his arms - even through the night
