Somewhere Between Here And Now Poem by Gert Strydom

Somewhere Between Here And Now

Somewhere between here and now
and tomorrow that are still hours
far away,
I long for you.

Tonight I crave
to read the ecstasy
in your golden eyes and exclamations,
but the night stretches out long
and tonight you sleep
at another place.

How strange it feels
when you’re away from me,
as if I am alone
in a unknown big world
