Somewhere in between the dreams and the lies
There is a waking and sleeping twilight.
There is a covenant with a goodnight song.
A lover's kiss that lasts lifelong, like moonlightÂ
Stretching across eternity all aglow, panoramic
Sometimes, it's heard like the sea in a conch shell.
Sometimes, it's seen in a diamond star romantic.
Sometimes, it's a thing of beauty with no parallel.
Like a magical caress under a sprig of mistletoe.
Somewhere between heaven and I don't know.
But I pray it doesn't melt away quickly like snow.
Pray it happens daily with the crowing of a jackdaw.
Leaving me with a tail feather to follow over the sea
Leaving me with a mute dust without words to explain
How I want you now, now you're much sultrier.
Then, a vision, a hallucination that can't always be contained.
Something more than rainbow colours brought to life
I dine; I dive into your eyes, deeper and deeper.
Looking over the horizon, I am near paralysed.
Watching your every movement and demeanour.
