Sonnet 27: Oh, What Cunning Plan Has My Love’s Brain Hatched Poem by David Wood

Sonnet 27: Oh, What Cunning Plan Has My Love’s Brain Hatched

Rating: 5.0

Oh, what cunning plan has my love’s brain hatched?
What devious plot occupies your mind?
Your kindness, my love, is but strangely matched
Feeding me my favourite food, so kind.
Is it a new dress that you want me to buy?
I am sure that it cannot be a new iron,
Your kindness is to my patience do try
To the shops we go for a dress to try on.
But you have only to say what you need,
My heart will agree with your desire.
You do not have to sow any deep seed
In my mind, fine food does me inspire.
However, I shall savour the moment
And dally before passing a comment.

Why think of it as a cunning plan? It may be a simple plan. Nice sonnet again. Thank you.

Very delicate and beautiful the way you take care of your love. Surely your words means a world to her. Very beautiful.
