Sounds Of Worship Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Sounds Of Worship

The sound of church bells tolling
Resonated within my shell echoing
Vibrating within my spirit and heart
Beckoning to service before it starts

Stepping with a guided foot to the pew
I genuflect and in prayer I speak to You
In this house of majesty and stained glass
Transforming heaven’s glory during mass

Along the course of living I gradually found
A door opening with a blowing breeze sound
God’s magnificent house has many corridors
One has no boundaries…it is the out of doors

With the chirping of small birds at sunrise
Revealing soft drifting clouds and a blue sky
A cathedral dome formed in God’s own way
In the glorious splendor I heard His voice say

Be one with nature… each minute of the day
Then you will find joy and peace as you pray
