Space Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Space

Once upon a time
There was nothing but inky black space
Infinite emptiness of darkness
Until Great Bang explosion
Creating galaxies and universes
Stars in billions, bright suns and planets.

Who created limitless black space
Was it the hand of almighty God?
Scientists claim life came from the Big Bang
And for us, the beauty of planet earth
Noah's Arc of life among stars
Mankind to people universes.

Astronomers study the heavens
Peering through powerful telescopes
Claiming space is a vast circle
With Great Bang exploding at its core
But if that is true then what lies
Outside, beyond the circle of space?
