Spend me when I'm gone
With my fathers fathoms deep
Usher me no more in obituaries
Nor allure me away of that sleep.
Spend me when I'm gone.
Then all my candid misdeeds
Shall proliferate in vegetation
And provide a landscape for weeds
Spend me when I'm gone.
Like dew drops on the grass
For I'll be reborn as a hornbill
Or a sunflower in a sylvan vase.
Spend me when I'm gone
Under this autumnal morn
Like farmers taking home their yield
Spend me when I'm gone.
Spend me when I'm gone. Like dew drops on the grass For I'll be reborn as a hornbill Or a sunflower in a sylvan vase.... a fine poem full of imagination. regeneration, a life born anew......... thank u dear poet. tony
