Spiders - Poem by katlyn whitworth

There are spiders on my walls
I like to see them crawl
There are blood stains on the floor
I can't take it anymore
I stand and I get my coat
I tell the night watch that I am broke
Tell him I got nothing to eat
Manipulate my way to the street
I'm leaving it behind
I'm leaving it behind
I live for the night To be in your arms All night.
To be in your arms All the time.
There are strip clubs to my left
To my left, there's a theft
There's a drug deal to my right
There's a fight; knives, they fly
There are enemies around me
They surround me, They surround me
And as I start to run
I hear the sound of a loaded gun
But it's not yet dusk
And I'm leaving it behind
I'm leaving it behind
I live for the night
To be safe with you All the time
To be warm with you In my mind
To be free from shots Down my spine
To feel okay If just for that while
I live for the night
And the girl who wears pink
By my side If the world's on the blink
Let it die I'll be safe with you By my side
I'll be free from my mind
And my psyche
And I will love you For all time...
