Spill Poem by Judy Jones

Spill

I have nothing to spill out onto this page
Maybe soon
As a great emptiness sits in my stomach
Leaving me bloated and uneasy
A sadness flows through my veins
Bringing motion to a crawl
A heaviness that makes it hard to move

The emptiness swells
and constricts my throat and it flows upward
Until it slowly sweeps out my eyes
My mouth wide
To dry for words
To depleted of life
