Spilt Down The Middle Poem by Lauren Coles

Spilt Down The Middle

It can be a hard question to answer on why parents split up,
Kids get bullied for their parents problems,
Kids may hear their parents fight,
It's okay every once in awhile but not all of the time,
Families put on their best happy faces performances when they are really sad,
But people can't act all the time,
Sometimes people get along better when they are in two different houses,
Parents may make two different sets of rules,
They don't know which ones to follow and that's where a judge comes in,
It's not always about you but what is best for the child.
