Knowledge or devotion,
Or be it dispassion,
On path to Him may lead,
But bliss of self realization,
No one else can there tread.

ज्ञान भक्ति वैराग्य सुख पीव ब्रह्म लौ ध़ाये,
आतम अनुभव सेज सुख, तहन ना दूजा जाये।

jñāna bhakti vairāgya sukha pīva brahma lau dhāye,
ātam anubhav seja sukha tahan nā dūjā jāye.

Knowledge, devotion, and renunciation or dispassion can take one on the right path to God, but it is self realization that takes one closer to Him like nothing else.

Kabeer was a revolutionary poet saint. He wrote some 800 couplets called dohe in Hindi. They dealt with many aspects of life that he observed during his lifetime, and wherein he challenged the prevailing practices of religions, sects, castes, and human behaviour. His couplets reflect true vision of spirituality (rather than religion) . Even after centuries, his couplets are read by the seekers from across the globe.
