Stare out the window
Neath the glowing rainy sky
To spaces between the spaces
And stern cars drifting by
Stare out the window
Past the houses all around
Through listless trees and foliage
Leaf and rubbish scattered ground
Stare out the window
Past gardens once and now
Through flowers loved and absent
Light and shadows endless row
Stare out the window
Until trance like forms a gaze
Past lawns in need of mowing
And years all lost of days
Stare out the window
Neath the glare of soft rain
As faces walk past chatting
Silenced coolly by the pane
Stare out the window
And hang about the space
Between trees past and present
Clawing future skies embrace
Stare out the window
To empty skies o'er brimmed
Slip from phase' lost purpose
All empty thoughts quick trimmed
Stare out the window
Breathe with seamless being
By spaces between spaces
And time and times all fleeting
Stare out the window
Disconnected to times past
When you stared out of the window
Setting dies in habits cast
Stare out the window
Confirming true the void
Is a cluttered glowing empty
Silence chocked with off-white noise
Stare out the window
In silent meditation
Consuming all but nought
In sated contemplation.
Stare out the window
Let it draw you far away
Full and empty and full again
Let no distraction come to play
Stare out the window
Skim slide by storm torn bay
Abyss or singularity or
Image glimpsed from an other day
Stare out the window
To once forests or star dust
To the spaces between spaces
As stare at times you must
Stare out of the window...

Fantastic. Great writing, as always. I catch myself staring out the window quite often.
