Stay Vigilant Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Stay Vigilant

How best can one survive,
The surmounting and still counting...
Of lies told, bought and sold?

Pray.
Keep faith.
And stay vigilant.

There is no other better defense.
Not these days.
Too many have become dumbed down.
By the lack of using common sense.
And ignorance to depend upon.
Believing life is a joke.
To think God will treat them,
With a forgiveness for their wicked tricks.
As children perceive when 'playing around',
God is just an easy to manipulate...
Unseen 'Old Dude'.
But not to know,
What it is God does to do...
To make fakers and fools,
Into true believers!

How best can one survive,
The surrounding and still counting...
Of lies told, bought and sold?

Pray.
Keep faith.
And...
By all means,
Stay vigilant.
