The Cowherd and the Weaver Maid
(Section B)
The sight struck Cowherd quite dumb,
He felt dizzy, and his ears hum-
To go or to stay, it's a dilemma,
He argued within, very hesitant.
The fairy maids giggled aloud,
Dancing and floating, vapor veiled.
Like nymphs they were full of grace,
Where from there seemed no trace.
Cowherd felt a victim to their charm,
Which was noticed by the cow calm.
The cow blurted out a muffled thought,
Which dazzled him like thunderbolt.
"Go steal her colored clothes of cloud,
And she will become your wife avowed.
You and she are predestined as stars,
Though you two lived heavens' apart."
So Cowherd plucked up his courage,
And of this chance he took advantage.
He picked the pink skirt as he's told,
And hid himself after the attempt bold.
