Still Alive Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

Still Alive

Rating: 2.5

My beloved artist is no more,
I am reluctant to believe that
He is dead.
In my grievous heart
I see all the essential things of his art
Are still on the desk of his great room,
They are silent, vacant and empty,
But when I slowly enter the room
And inspect it minutely for a long time,
I feel my dearest artist is still alive,
Sitting in his cosy chair,
He is fully engrossed in his artistic work
With his usual smiling face.

Beautifully making your dead friend alive in his art all the time. Good work.
