Stillness Poem by Ima Ryma

Stillness

Pure stillness anywhere on Earth
Is there because humans are not.
When humans come for selfish worth,
All paradise turns into rot.
The Garden of Eden got rid
Of humans for a little while.
But later God probably did
Forgive. Back in humans did file.
The air, the water, and the land
Are filling up with human waste.
Since nowhere now are humans banned,
Pure stillness is being erased.

There's less and less of paradise.
With humans, nature pays the price.
