Stone Riddles (Carnivore) Poem by Eric Cockrell

Stone Riddles (Carnivore)

carnivore...
the heart
consumes itself!

revenge...
suicide of
the soul.

bridge...
my body,
your body.

edge...
hard line
we walk!

smoke...
burning leaves,
body time.

need...
i feel
to touch!

picture...
i just
cant taste!

coming...
body waves,
lapping shore.

poetry...
fingers undoing
forbidden buttons.

anguish...
words burning,
your doorstep.

shout...
my heart,
yours deaf!

break...
distance down
by truth.

lover...
shells broken,
eggs running.
