Stop And Reflect Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

Stop And Reflect

We help children talk,
And then how to walk,
To write, and so starts the clock.

But seldom to stop,
Think, beauty to spot,
Yet, teach from here to there hop.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
We have turned this world into a race course where everybody seems in a rat race. We teach children to race with the clock, not to stop, reflect, and spot beauties in life, just hop from one thing to another. Every calamity comes with a silver lining. Corona virus too may provide such silver lining, if only we stop a while and reflect.

A brilliant haiku is well presented with Poet's Note which is most insightful.

Many scoff at poetic notes because they feel that a bit of equivocation is fine and adds to the beauty of the poem, which can then be interpreted variously. Thanks dear KM for liking the notes and the poem.
