Story Of An Emo Poem by Heart of Ice Die Die Die

Story Of An Emo

My knife,
it whispers to me late at night
when I sit up late
trying not to cry
over the one
who left my behind
like a broken toy.
Just break your streak.
No one needs to know.
They'll never notice
the little red line
that appeared overnight.
She doens't need to know
and he'll never notice.
It scares him anyways.
Show him
just how much he hurts you.
Even when he's not there.
Why should you let
his very image
haunt you?
Why should you let the thought of his smile
sting and burn you?
Why should you shed
a precious tear over him?
They don't need to know
that you cheated.
You deserve a break.
SHUT UP!
Shh, shh.
You know you want to
fall back into the gentle lure
that is your very self
Your emoism.
Just one little line
and I will open you back
with open arms
that no one else will extend towards you.
NO NO NO! I DON'T WANT THIS ANYMORE!
Yes, you do small one.
You know
that you want to belong
and you do.
Hear at the heart
of the emos.
Their leader,
their follower.
You are
and forever will be
an emo.
Don't hide
from who you are.
You can run
but you can't hide.
We'll find you,
and we'll catch you.
Your act will fall
right before you
and you will come back crying.
You always do.
SO? LEAVE ME ALONE!
Yes, yes.
Welcome back my dear.
