'Rubbish! ' I heard
from the Lobby.

I have been told
now I am old
to write haiku at sundown
and I could become
the World's number one
'Rubbish! ' I heard
in the background.

I have been told
I will own pots of gold
if I write haiku about Cupid
and I could become
the World's number one
'Rubbish! ' I heard
'don't be stupid! '
