Strawberry Jam And Honey Poem by gershon hepner

Strawberry Jam And Honey

A Taurus, I don’t care for lamb,
although I love its wool;
I love attacking strawberry jam,
a red flag to this bull.
My wife likes all meat less than fish,
preparing it with spices;
she is, like all her food, a dish,
my partner-pinup Pisces.

If you have got no strawberry jam
to offer me then honey,
as sweet as poems in a slam,
will work for far less money,
unless its source should be Tasmania,
for if it’s Leatherwood
I love it like the boy Titania
Adored, though never should.
