Straws

Rating: 5.0

The average diameter of their chalameaux, their straws,
is probably the same,
but the French called their straws after musical pipes,
while the English referred to grass for the name.

They could have coincided, I suppose:
the French could have called one un tuyau
and the English named a straw a hose.
