Stressful Day Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Stressful Day

Stress and tension taking hold once again on an early Monday
morning, cab driver arriving at the appointment time instead
of earlier to pick me up for the appointment.

Calling dispatch, arguing with a woman telling me the cab
was fifteen minutes away instead of being at my home, called
back again.

Someone had erased the thirty minute lead time on my call,
that's what has been making me late the past month for doctor
appointments.

Reinstating it, hopefully it won't happen again, because once
it never even showed up and I had to find a ride to the doctor,
luckily he's an excellent doctor, telling me not to worry about
it, yet it's very stressful being late time after time.
