Stuck In A Maze Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Stuck In A Maze

Looking around, seeing people from all over the world right
here in the U.S.A., having immigrated from other countries,
wanting a taste of true, honest freedom.

Hopes, wishes, dreams, all trained upon the American dream,
yet when they get here they find nothing in reality that
they didn't have from where they came from originally.

Why? is their question every time, not knowing where to go
or who to trust for answers, seeing that the government of
the U.S.A. has been tainted deeply with corrupt politicians.

Much like in their own countries, now they are here, stuck
in a maze that they don't know how to navigate, who will
help them if they continue to refuse to assimilate.

Anyone coming here legally we will welcome, but not those
who are illegal, word has to get back to their people in
their own countries not to come here illegally.

Americans are no longer wanting to help so they will be
turned away, learning the hard way that the U.S.A. refuses
everything unless you're fully legal to come here.

That's just the way it is, we all had to make a living and
take care of our own families, we don't have anything else
extra to share with anyone.

Our corrupt politicians have taken away our livelihoods,
raising prices, taking away our full social security and
giving it to illegals.

People who haven't worked a single moment in the U.S.A.,
it's unfair to give American's hard-earned money to those
who never deserved it.
