Stuck In Hell Poem by Hannah Diane Williams

Stuck In Hell

Rating: 5.0

Yes ma'am, No ma'am
Yes sir, No sir
Manners drilled in me since birth.

Sick of always being polite,
Instead of saying what I think.

Tired of always saying, "yes, "
When do I get to say, "No, "?

I want to say,
"I don't wanna be pushed around.
You're not the boss of me anymore! "

Don't wanna walk on egg shells any longer
Because my mind can take no more.

I wish I could say I was done with you.
But every time I say those words,
I end up right back where I started...

Stuck in hell with you.

Go ahead and say the words and mean it! If this is a real situation, there are people who can help! (The police, if necessary.)

A poignant well expressed poem. Some of us, despite of our desire to do so, could not free ourselves from the claws of abuse. It is always a cycle.
