Suit Of Armor Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Suit Of Armor

I took a trip to the museum and fell in love with a suit of armor.
Short in stature it belonged to a woman, according to the description in bold italic.
It shone under bright light, revealing various dings and piercings.
Much was left to the imagination. Despite the display itself.
With sealed lips I wonder what she would say with all the time that has passed.
Most notable, a large indention pressed where her heart would rest
Behind the metal plate.
Little pings and dings captivated thought.
Could I relate to her at all if someone where to lift the face plate.
Was this infatuation, relating to a lifeless body of armor.
Breast plate too far dented to lend her mine, I was left in thought.
If she could ever breathe again with such a simple gesture in a space so small
