Sun, Moon, And Star - Poem by Michael P. McParland

I was just sitting here doing nothing really
listening to Falcos album Emotional,
when on came his song The Star of Moon and Sun,
with the biggest grin I thought of my only one,
this song and you my lady so sweet and true
have pulled me through this dreary day
and here's what I want to share with you.

You are the sun that lights up my days
making them bright and happy,
helping me get through the toughest days.
You are my sun and your warm light
fills me up with endless love,
giving hope to keep fighting on.

You are the moon that kills the darkness
in the night warding off the nightmares
that haunt my sleep.
You help illuminate the nights of which
can be the loneliest, scary, empty times.
You are the moon which I thank for helping
light the night and give a needed comfort
in the lonely times.

You are the star of my universe,
an Angel glowing with a beaming smile,
eyes sparkling with endless love and true kindness,
with the purest honest soul I have ever known.
You are the northern star that helps me find the path
that leads to true happiness and not give up in whole.
I love you darling my star and only one.

You are my sun, moon, and only star.
What more could I ever hope or ask for?
What more could I need than your love my sweet Angel Queen?
You light up my heart and spirit giving life
to true love so rarely known.
You're so special and I love you very much.
Give me the greatest honor of your hand and
we'll together spend eternity in celestial splendor and glory.
