Sundayday Poem by Richard D Remler

Sundayday

~~~~~~~~~~
Morning woke me
Up for school,
Bright and early
Just like Monday.
And was I ever
Cross with it,
Because today, all day,
It's Sunday!
This made me smile. I am a shift worker and have turned up at work thinking its a different day. Sometimes I am lucky enough to catch up before I leave home.
A very cute poem. A child's version of the shiftworker who awakens with a start, hastily throws on their clothing and rushes out the door, supposing they overslept and are late to work, when in fact it's their day off!
