Sunrise Of Dusk-Nina's Sonnet - Poem by peter Olegario

The sky, it is dark as my heart is lost
For I left thy beauty to fall to dusk
Thy grace I miss and now trying to find
I know she is here waiting for our time

Though dusk has conquered the rays of twilight
It’s too late to bring brightness to the sky
I shall be here wondering in the dark
Yet you shall be here always in my heart

Now I am left with a hole in my heart
For a part of me is left in darkness
And I must return to thee quickly now
Or else death I shall suffer in the dusk

I will comeback for my heart is lonely
The sky, please wait, for sunrise is coming

-I wrote this for the girl whom i love yet i know ive left her waiting, i know, it hurts us both but the best things that come in life are those that are worth the wait-
