PFUNDSKERL (POUNDSGUY)
is German for GOOD BLOKE.
Bloke is Australian for Guy.
Instead of PFUNDS
you could put EUROS or DOLLARS.
You wouldn't put PFENNIGS or CENTS.
MARKSKERL as an insult
would rank high -
would be calling him REDUNDANT GUY.
You are becoming the Educational Poet, teaching us all about different items in German.Super Heroes might be huge sandwiches in some parts of my country! The Pennsylvania Dutch were not Dutch at all, but German. People got confused because of the word Deutsch.
Heroic expression of money is amazingly analysed and presented in this poem. This is thought provoking as well as thoughtful poem. Thank you very much for sharing this.10
